Louis Van Gaal recently announced that Blind’s knee injury is finally not as serious as they were fearing. Blind was recently injured during Holland’s 6-0 win over the Latvia team last Sunday and some reports speculated that the player might be out of games for at least 6 months. However, Van Gaal is now hopeful that the Dutch midfielder might resume games sooners.
Van Gaal spoke at a press conference and talked about Daley Blind’s state. He affirmed that the midfielder has a knee brace and would need to take 10 days’ rest and would have to undergo another series of scans to determine the extent of his injury. Generally the situation is not as bad as initially believed by Holland manager and doctors who had examined Blind right after the injury.
Right after the match, Guus Hiddink, Holland team manager had given a rather unoptimistic assessment of the injury by stating that it might be a twisted medial ligament or a ligament rupture.
Manchester United manager also confirmed that winger Di Maria and their goalkeeper de Gea will be up for the Sky Live match at the Emirates Stadium but the team will be missing the participation of defense player Shaw who is suffering from a hamstring muscle strain.
Other United players have recently missed the 1-0 winning match over Crystal Palace two weeks ago. These players such as Marcos Rojo, Falcao, Evans , Rafael and Phil Jones might be missing the match against the Gunners as well. Van Gaal has not provided any confirmation about this.
