Boosted by their 3 wins in 11 days, the Magpies are awaiting to face Liverpool at St James’ Park this Saturday. Newcastle previously appeared doomed with off-field issues and not a single win in the first seven matches. The players have shown an extraordinary determination by rallying up and bringing their first win against Leicester, another victory over the Spurs and their fantastic away win against City for the League Cup on Wednesday night.
Fans did not hold their hopes up as several of Newcastle’s preferred players were sitting out of the game. Supporters saw this as another disregard of the League Cup as not being a priority for the club. The young players that the Magpies brought on the field, have however, stunned with a great game bringing them their 2-0 win against City. The players were determined to win until the end and the fan picked up on that spirit. The game only lacked the presence on club owner Mike Ashley.
As for Liverpool, players that would be much looked out for would be Mario Balotelli, who recently transferred to Liverpool for this season. Despite beliefs that the player is on a slump, he might pick up the game and strike some goals.
Players missing for Saturday’s game as St James’ Park would be Tiote, Davide Santon, Papiss Cisse, Jonas Gutierrez and Siem De Jong on Newcastle’s side. Liverpool would have to go without the services of Mamadou Sakho and Jose Enrique. A good news for Newcastle is that Daniel Sturridge would be out of the game too due to his injury.
