La Liga Sets El Clasico Date, Celta Vigo on Top With Barca and Real Madrid

The date for the first El Clasico has been set up La Liga where Real Madrid and FC Barcelona will do battle for the first time this season.

Often considered the biggest club football game, it is scheduled for November 21, 2015 and will begin at 6:15 PM Madrid time. In the UK, the game starts at 5:15 PM and will be broadcast live via Sky Sports.

With Messi being injured, it seems that he will reach fitness for the clash against Real Madrid. However, with Argentina struggling his absence, he will have to report to international duty only a few days before playing this important game of the season at the Catalan club.

At the moment, both clubs are level on points at the top of La Liga. However, Celta Vigo is also level with them on points with their surprising performance this season.

Apart from this, Villarreal and Atletico Madrid are just two points behind, thanks to injuries. Of course, with the way things are shaping up in La Liga, this looks like a season that will be a five-horse race.

Both Real Madrid and Barca won their games this weekend with Ronaldo playing an important part in the 3-0 win over Levante. Alternatively, Neymar scored 4 goals in Barca’s win over Rayo Vallecano that ended in a result of 5-2 in favor of the Catalan club.

Atletico Madrid beat Real Sociedad by 2 goals to nil while Villarreal lost to Celta Vigo by a solitary goal in the dying minutes of the game.
